Cargo is transported by air in specialized cargo aircraft and luggage compartments of passenger aircraft.

 

It is the fastest mode of transport over long distance so that will naturally mean higher freight cost. 

Cargo is transported by ocean by shipping lines. Cargo are packed in containers and trucked to the shipping line at Port Of Origin and shipped overseas to Port Of Destination.  

 

A cost saving solution with longer lead time incurred. 

Project Cargo is a common term used to describe the transportation of large over-sized / heavy lift / high value types of equipment or cargo that are often critical to a project.
